How to Apply for Membership
When pursuing a Perinton Republican Committee (PRC) membership we suggest that you first contact the Town Leader who can answer any questions you might have. Contact can be made via e-mail through the “Contact” e-mail on the PRC website. You might also choose to attend monthly PRC meetings as an observer to determine if it is of interest to you.
If you are interested, please send a short “bio” on your background via e-mail to the PRC contact on the website, and the PRC Town Leader can review the information with the Executive Committee.
The actual requirements for becoming a PRC member are as follows. You must:
- be a registered Republican
- be a resident of the Town of Perinton
- be willing to pass petitions each June to obtain required signatures for Republican candidates running for election that year
- pay annual Committee membership dues of $10
If you are interested and meet the requirements, you would be sponsored by a Committee member, i.e., introduced to the rest of the Committee at two (2) successive monthly Committee meetings in which the information from your “bio” is shared. After the second meeting, the Committee votes as to whether or not to approve your membership, which becomes effective immediately.
